On the summit of Piz Nair towers the imposing statue of the ibex, which looks down to embrace the whole of the Upper Engadin that lies at its feet. At the top of Piz Nair, you can’t help but enjoy the view of the Engadin lake landscape and get a glimpse of the upcoming hike from above. The first section leads steeply down the side of the Piz Nairs to the Munt da San Murezzan. Further on, a wide path leads relatively flat to the Alpina Hut and then steeply downhill to Corviglia. From Corviglia, take the path above Sass Runzöl and pass the special limestone formations to Alp Nova. Shortly afterwards you pass under the Corviglia cable car and in a long bend you reach Chantarella.
