Panorama Point is the most exciting and the farthest viewpoint in Matheran. It is almost 7.5 km away from the marketplace. Taking a horse is probably the best. Another option is to take a toy train from the marketplace to the next station, but you will be required to walk at least 2 km. Horse ride takes 45-60 minutes to transport you from your hotel to this fairyland. The path is little bit rocky and hence, your back might start hurting after a while, but it’s an unforgettable odyssey—you go through the forest hearing singing birds, breeze and horse’s clip-clop, while having occasional glimpses of varying landscapes. The views from Panorama Point are incredibly stunning and beyond my words. This point offers a 360-degree view of Matheran and surrounding areas. You can also spot Sunset Point from here. Being remotely located, this point is even more secluded than Honeymoon Point. You can lie down in the lap of nature and thank god for introducing you to this heaven on earth.
