Miramare railway station: a small journey into the past

Going to the station of Miramare you will feel like going back in time. To tell the truth, it looks a bit like a ghost station. There are no staff and very few passengers in transit during the day. The station dates back to the mid-1800s and was part of the railway line that connected Trieste to Vienna. It can be reached by car or in only 9 minutes by train from Trieste station.
