Mesa Verde National Park – Secret World

Mesa Verde National Park These Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings—built of sandstone with mud mortar between the 6th and 12th centuries—are some of the largest and best preserved in North America. They also have red, tan, and white plaster walls that depict geometric designs, people, handprints, and animals such as mountain sheep and birds. The colors may have represented clan designations.
