On Manhattan’s Upper West Side, among skyscrapers, luxury hotels and high fashion stores, is the American Folk Art Museum. This beautiful museum is dedicated to outsiders. The permanent collection includes over 5000 works, divided mainly into three categories: the folk arts of the United States, international self-taught artists from the 20th century to the present, and the European Art Brut movement. A real treasure, to which are added many other activities (always free) organized by the museum, such as concerts, workshops and conferences.
