Located on Watson Island, between the City of Miami and Miami Beach, Jungle Island is a zoological park in an extraordinary setting that simulates a tropical forest.
In 1936, Austrian Franz Scherr opened the "Parrot Jungle Gardens". There he performed shows with the birds from his shop, until he realized it was a good economic opportunity and needed to expand the business.
Thanks to its expansion, Jungle Island is now home to hundreds of exotic reptiles, fish and mammals, not forgetting of course the birds with which it all began.
In short, in this exuberant tropical forest, many animal species coexist and mingle, such as birds, monkeys and tigers.
