Description

With its idyllic setting, the little village of Iseltwald, Switzerland is like something out of a fairy tale. The village is in the Bernese Oberland Region on the southern shores of Lake Brienz. It’s a tiny place of just 400 people, set against the turquoise waters of the lake and the beautiful Swiss Alps.
There is a castle in the peninsula called Seeburg Castle, built back in 1907 by the owner Gottfried Siegrist. Since 1927 the villa with various outbuildings and the «Schnäggeninseli» has belonged to the Diakonieverband Ländli, which among other things ran a trade and housekeeping school for young women.

From 1987, the Seeburg Center for people with disabilities was built in the buildings. The property has been for sale since the center moved to Bödeli in 2015.
