It is home to the hidden waterfall and the hermitage of San Leonardo al Volubrio, a destination for continuous pilgrimages and excursions, as well as famous for having been restored by itself for about forty years by a hermit priest from 1970 until 2014, Father Pietro Lavini, a Capuchin of the order of Franciscan Friars Minor, born Armando Girio Lavini of Potenza Picena, who died at the age of 88 on August 9, 2015.
It is connected to the valley of Castelsantangelo sul Nera by the Bad Pass, where some remnants of snowfields can still be found in summer.
