The dragon returns very often in the symbolism of Ljubljana and in fact is even present on its flag. The symbol of the city is also a wonderful bridge: the Dragon Bridge (Zmajiski Most). This link between the city and the dragons has mythological origins: Jason and the Argonauts, after having found the Golden Fleece in Colchis, embarked on the Danube and headed towards its tributary Sava, and finally arrived at the source once called Ljubljanica.
In this place Jason found a gigantic and terrifying monster: the dragon!!!
