The Civic Museum Actor’s Library currently has an endowment of about 40,000 volumes, many thousands of autographs, thousands of photographs of shows, 29 wonderful costumes, sketches, sets, scripts.
In addition to those concerning Salvini and Ristori, there are about forty funds consisting of materials belonging to great actors, famous playwrights, and theater critics such as Ernesto Rossi, Ermete Zacconi, Sabatino Lopez, Nino Martoglio, Ruggero Ruggeri, Sergio Tofano, Silvio d’Amico, Annibale Ninchi, Lilla Brignone, Giorgio De Lullo, Romolo Valli, Paolo Stoppa, Alberto Lionello, Luciano Codignola, Roberto Chiti, Alessandro Fersen, to mention only the most famous.
The collections also include the funds of two great theatre photographers, Gastone Bosio and Pasquale De Antonis.
