Church of San Bernardino

Of the ancient monastery, the bell tower, the presbytery of the church and the supporting walls with arches have been preserved. The monastery and the church date back to the 15th century and are consecrated to St. Bernardine of Siena. The monastery ceased its activity in the 19th century and the Austrian army used it as a fortress for the defence of the gulf, later becoming the seat of the Revenue and Customs Office.
