Cave of the Monks – Palinuro

Grotta dei Monaci – The main feature from which the Grotta dei Monaci takes its name are the suggestive stalagmite formations that have taken on the appearance of a group of monks in prayer in the collective imagination. It seems to be in a sacred temple. In addition to the stalagmite formations of particular curiosity are the marine plant organisms vulgarly called sea tomatoes.
