In the Castle of Torrechiara a love story comes to life.
Kingdom of the love fable between Pier Maria Rossi and his beloved Bianca Pellegrini.
Everything speaks of their passion in epic-chivalric style: from the Camera d’Oro, attributed to Benedetto Bembo, to the wedding room.
The castle perfectly preserves its late-medieval square shape, between four towers and imposing crenellated curtain walls.
It is accessed through a long covered entrance that leads to the courtyard of honour, where there is the small church of San Nicomede whose door is studded with the monograms of Bianca and Pier Maria.
