Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood is an extension of the Victoria & Albert Museum.It holds a large collection of children’s toys. Although the toy collection began early last century it only became a dedicated toy museum in 1974, since when it has amassed a wide variety of toys including teddy bears, games, dolls, doll houses (some donated by royalty), model trains, theatres and puppets. Some of these exhibits date back to the 17th century there is also a display toys from around the world.
