In Faidabad there is the only mosque in pink, Baitur Rauf, designed by the architect Marina Tabassum winner of the Aga Khan award for architecture. The mosque has a simple rectangular structure, composed of perforated clay bricks and lacks a dome and minaret, traditional elements of Islamic architecture. Besides the Sakirin Mosque in Istanbul, the Baitur Rauf is the only mosque in the world to have been designed by a woman.
