The Almond Museum of Avola was born in a farm once belonging to a family of producers. The building, after having been left by the owners, was in danger of decay. It was purchased by the Municipality, renovated and now is home to the museum as well as offering various exhibition and meeting spaces.
On the walls period photos and tools illustrate the different stages of processing of agricultural products, the machines for shelling and sizing and a copper bassina, used for the production of the prestigious almond sugared almonds from Avolesi.
