വെംുര്ല is an alluring beach town, located on the Konkan coast in the southern most district of Sindhudurg in Maharashtra. വെറും 110 കി. മീ. വടക്ക് ഗോവ, വെംുര്ല is popular for its long stretch of clear white sand beaches ringed by high mountains. One of the തിരക്കേറിയ തുറമുഖ during the reign of മറാഠ രാജാവ് ഛത്രപതി ശിവജി, the port was തിരക്കേറിയ വ്യാപാര കേന്ദ്രം between the 16th and 18th century. അസ്തിത്വം വൻ ഗോഡൗണുകൾ, കച്ചവട കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ markets are വേദിയുടെ അതിന്റെ സമ്പന്നമായ മെർക്കന്റൈൽ past. തമ്മിലുള്ള 1664 and 1812, the town was രണ്ടുതവണ ചുട്ടു ground. ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവർ of the ആക്രമണങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോഴും seen on the വെംുര്ല rocks, and is now നഗരങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഹോമയാഗം Island. The ഹോമയാഗം ദ്വീപ്, ഗ്രൂപ്പ് മൂന്ന് വലിയ പാറകൾ that were once ഒരു പ്രധാന നാവിഗേഷൻ പോയിന്റ് seafarers. At present, the rocks act as a breeding site for a rare bird, ഇന്ത്യൻ Swiftlet.
Malvani, a dialect of മറാത്തി, is spoken in വെംുര്ല.
വെംുര്ല പ്രശംസനീയമാകുന്നു അഞ്ചു അതിശയകരമായ beaches. Nivati ബീച്ച്, Shiroda ബീച്ച്, Mochemad ബീച്ച്, Sagareshwar ബീച്ച്, and Vayangani beach. Of these, Nivati and Shiroda beaches are highly recommended as they are blessed with crystal clear water and offer great opportunities for water sports.
വെംുര്ല is also famous for its ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ പോലെ Mauli ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം, Sateri ദേവി ക്ഷേത്രം, Shri Vithoda ക്ഷേത്രം.
Though not a shopping destination, വറുത്ത കശുവണ്ടി പരിപ്പ് മധുരം ഉണ്ടാക്കി നിന്നും കശുവണ്ടി are worth trying and are found in shops all around the town.
