Natural tourism and sports tourism are the major resources of this region included in an area defined "Natural Park do Sudoeste Alentejano and Costa Vicentina".
As for the events, one of the most important is the Festival do Sudoeste, held in Herdade from Casa Branca in August. The festival, which lasts three days, offers musical concerts that attract hundreds of young people.
