Honoring the memory of those who fought the First World War on the Italian front of Adamello – Presanella. This is the noble aim of the White War Museum in Adamello di Temù, a small pearl to be discovered in the upper Camonica Valley.
"White War". It is the expression that indicates all the episodes of the 1915 – 1918 conflict that involved the Italian combat zones on the Alpine front. Hence the name of the museum of Temù, a place full of historical relics and testimonies and a point of reference for all lovers of history and for those who want to honor their loved ones called to arms.Born on the initiative of some private individuals, the museum collects numerous exhibits donated as weapons, flags, bullets, alpine equipment. Photographs, manuscripts and objects of the soldiers’ daily life, including blankets, stoves and clothing, are very evocative. An exhibition that aims to convey the idea of the harshness of life at the front, supported by prepared and exciting guides.
In addition to the permanent museum exhibition, there is a room for temporary exhibitions, a library-archive specialized in the history and heritage of the Great War, a teaching room, a conference room with 99 seats and a bookshop.
