This is a trail dedicated to the Walser population and culture in Italy.
Taking advantage of and enhancing the network of pre-existing trails, a new one was born, 220 kilometers long in total, linking 15 Alpine localities where, in the Middle Ages, the population of Germanic origin from what is now Canton Valais arrived and settled.
The route is divided into 10 stages, not all of them consecutive, crossing two regions (Piedmont and Aosta Valley) and four valleys (Ossola, Valsesia, Gressoney Valley and Ayas Valley).
