A spectacular starry sky in a cave. This is the landscape you can admire in New Zealand. Nothing artificial or magical, the cave is illuminated by a myriad of insects that emit fluorescent light similar to our fireflies.
Called glow-worms, bio-luminescent insects that emit glow ranging from green to blue, are only found in New Zealand. Discovered in 1887 by a local Maori, they are a magical place to visit, where a river runs through it, which can be crossed by custom-made boats with flax stems.
