Villa Miralfiore
Originally a rural house of the Sforza family, the villa was sold to Guidubaldo II Della Rovere in 1599. Bartolomeo Genga and Filippo Terzi are the architects who renovated and enlarged it for the needs of the dukes who stayed there.
The vast park that surrounds it is only partially preserved and gives a reductive idea of the original sumptuous Italian garden with caves, fishpond, fountains and ornamental plants of all kinds. Of the two arches on the access avenues, only the one in via Solferino remains; the other was demolished in 1861. The building has an asymmetrical structure, with the porticoed entrance side. Inside, of great interest are the five frescoed rooms on the first floor.
