With its wild charm and its numerous endemisms, Val Venegia occupies the northern part of the Parco Paneveggio Pale di San Martino.
It is a valley of glacial origin of extraordinary environmental value. The Venegia and Venegiota huts, easily accessible, are the arrival point of easy excursions.
In the Park Plan, the Venegia Valley is identified as a "guided reserve"; it is therefore subject to particular constraints. It is a real botanical garden, crossed by the stream Travignolo and by the Rio Vallazza: scholars have counted more than 500 different species of plants.
In Val Venegia there are two refreshment points: the Agritur Malga Venegia and the Agritur Malga Venegiota. From the Malga Venegia it is possible to reach the Mulaz Refuge with an excursion on foot of about 3 hours.
