Umpachene Falls Park is home to one of the coolest swimming spots in the state. Located in New Marlborough, this scenic park offers a glorious waterfall-fed pool that’s just the thing for cooling off on a hot day.
To find the waterfall, all you have to do is follow a trail about 300 feet long.

From Route 57 in the center of Marlborough in front of the white church, go south on New Marlborough/Southfield Road. After 1.5 miles, take a right onto Southfield Road, just before the bridge. In 0.1 miles turn left onto Mill River Road. Follow Mill River Road about 0.75 miles to a right onto Hasdell Street, just before the bridge. Parking is on the left in 0.4 miles.
