Ugly medames

Ful medames is a dish made from common broad beans (Vicia faba) typical of Egypt and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa.The fava beans are boiled until soft and then mashed into a puree, to which various seasonings such as olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and parsley are added. It is usually served hot with pita bread, hard-boiled eggs, onions, chili, and toppings to taste such as tahini sauce, feta cheese, and diced tomatoes.Ful medames is often eaten for breakfast and is considered a source of protein and other important nutrients. In Egypt, it is a popular national dish and can be found in many restaurants and street markets.
