Trinidad, one of the most beautiful cities on the island of Cuba, is found on its southern coast and has played an important role in many of the country’s historic events. In its downtown you will find the Museum of Architecture in a colonial home called Sánchez Sánchez (because it belonged to the families Sánchez Íznaga and Sánchez Cantero). It was originally two homes, but after an impressive remodeling project it became the one house you see now. The museum highlights the characteristics of colonial architecture, the most important architectural movement in Cuba, and indeed, on the entire continent.
