Definitely one of the most significant and exciting museums of modern art and design in Scandinavia, nestled in an amazing sculpture park, overlooking the Kolding Fjord. The collection includes, among other things, Scandinavia’s largest collection of chairs.
Trapholt’s architecture is a great attraction in itself. Arranged around a central axis, Trapholt invites visitors to explore a series of special exhibitions featuring Danish and international artists and designers.
Also on display is Arne Jacobsen’s Kubeflex vacation cottage – a real treat for design and architecture enthusiasts. One of a kind, this modular home è decorated with Jacobsen’s designs.
Visitors here also have the opportunity to curate their own exhibition of works from the collection in the YOUR exhibition section.
Trapholt, however, as we have already said, is also known for the beautiful environment that surrounds it.
In fact, the museum is located in a large park of sculptures and beautiful gardens above the fjord of Kolding.
The museum and the café boast a fantastic panoramic view.
In the design store you’ll find a wide selection of home accessories from Danish and international brands.
