The toy museum, the result of years of research and work by the scholar Pietro Piraino Papoff and his daughters Laila and Lucilla, was born from a unitary project of Advocacy for children at various levels with the aim of educating children to interculturality.
Through play and " the virtual journey through time ", we want to create a bridge through which solidarity and acceptance of diversity can travel.
The collections of toys and waxes on display in the museum’s premises have been placed under constraint by the Region of Sicily, Assessorato Beni Culturali, Ambientali e P.I. (Department of Cultural and Environmental Heritage). pursuant to DDG 490 of 29/10/1999 and DDG 1017 as they have been declared of enormous value.
