Opened in 1983, Tokyo Disneyland is the first park built in the Tokyo Disney Resort and was the first Disney park opened outside the United States.
The park draws inspiration from California’s Disneyland Park and Florida’s Magic Kingdom.
It consists of 7 thematic areas. There are the 5 "classic" areas typical of Disney parks: Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland (which here in Japan, however, is named Westernland) and Main Street USA (here called World Bazaar) plus two areas named Critter Country and Toontown.
Equipped with large open spaces suitable for accommodating the large number of tourists who visit each year, Tokyo Disneyland is the third busiest park in the world, just behind its "brothers" Magic Kingdom and Disneyland California.
