The Repovesi National Park and the Aarnikotka forest reserve (14 square kilometres), which is connected to it, are made up of forests dotted with dozens of lakes. Repovesi is traditionally one of the most popular excursion destinations in southern Finland. The tranquil environment allows visitors to enjoy their favourite activities, whether it is picking berries, snowshoeing, studying geology or learning about the history of river flow. Among the Park’s points of interest are the Olhavanvuori rock and the hills of Mustalamminvuori, Katajavuori and Haukilamminvuori, as well as the suspension bridge over the Lapinsalmi stream and the facilities for river-rafting in Kuutinlahti Bay.
The landscape of the National Park consists of vast uninhabited forests, steep cliffs and dozens of lakes and ponds. The highest peaks of the region are located in Repovesi and from here you can enjoy a magnificent view.
