The Pieve di San Bartolomeo in Galliano is a church of very ancient origins. Rebuilt in 1800, its interior features a fresco by Tito Chini.
Recently chosen by Madonna for the filming of one of her videos, this church was initially built in 1163 for a monastery of nuns. The current building dates back to 1845-1847, rebuilt by decision of the Ubaldini family, because of the terrible conditions in which it was.
The interior has a single nave covered with trusses and with three windows, two of which are walled up; on the sides of the main entrance there are two stoups dating back to the 17th century, on the right a marble baptismal font dated 1332.
Among the works of art preserved inside, there are some important ones, including a painting on wood with the "Madonna col Bambino" attributed to Margaritone D’Arezzo and an altarpiece of the mid-11th century depicting the "Madonna col Bambino e quattro santi", probably coming from the Church of Santo Stefano in Rezzano (also known as the "Madonna di Rezzano"); the dome was frescoed by Tito Chini.
In the Oratory there is an altarpiece depicting "The Annunciation" and attributed to Ghirlandaio’s workshop.
