The National Museum of Archaeology in Naples (Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli) is one of the world’s greatest museums on Roman art. The Farnese collection comprises a large number of Roman sculptures including the Farnese Bull – the largest intact marble sculpture from antiquity. The museum also famously claimed the best artworks discovered during the excavations of the Vesuvian towns Pompeii and Herculaneum.
