The exhibition gallery of the National Library of Potenza presents in permanent form the works of the American artist of Italian origin Albert Friscia (New York 1911 – Rome 1989), donated to the same library by the artist’s wife.On display are 96 paintings, 65 bronze and marble sculptures and 10 kinetic works created between 1935 and 1989, which testify to the multifaceted activity of an artist in constant search of new forms of expression, to whom important works in bronze are owed, such as the narthex door of the Cathedral of Chicago, the monument to the "Fluidity of Communication" in the courtyard of the Ministry of Posts in Rome, the high altar in the apse of Bernini in the Vatican Basilica.
