The mother and the battle of Stalingrad

The mother calls statue was built for commemorating the battle of Stalingrad took place between 1942 August – 1943 February, one of major war of World War II. It is located in the industrial city of Volgograd in Russia. This statue have a height of 87 meters, the swords itself have length of 33 meters. The statue was designed by engineer Nikolai Nikitin and sculptor Yevgeny Vuchetich. More than 7900 tonnes of concrete used for the construction of this statue and presented to the world in the year 1967. There are 200 steps from bottom of hill to the statue for symbolizing the exact duration of Stalingrad war.
