The Lope de Vega Theater is located in Seville on avenida de María Luisa in the park space of the same name. It is dedicated to Lope Félix de Vega y Carpio, Spanish writer, poet and playwright of the siglo de oro. It was built in 1929 by Vicente Traver y Tomás, who built it, along with other structures, such as the Casino, Pabellón de la Ciudad de Sevilla for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition. It was inaugurated by Kings Alfonso XIII of Spain and Victoria Eugenia on October 28, 1929.
