On the picturesque lakefront of Vevey, one of the most charming towns on the shores of Lake Geneva, stands an unusual wonder that captures the imagination of visitors. Thus, the fork was moved to Littau, near Lucerne, to beautify the garden of the Berndorf cutlery factory.Fortunately, in 2007 the giant fork returned to Lake Geneva for a temporary exhibition called "Couverts Découverts." The enthusiasm of visitors and a petition of support launched by a local committee prompted the Vevey City Council to take decisive action to have the fork returned to Vevey permanently.
