The Fitzroy Tavern

Situated in the central Fitzrovia district, The Fitzroy Tavern was once known for its diverse clientele, which included people from all walks of life. Between 1920 and 1940 it also became a favourite haunt of many artists and intellectuals. Great writers such as Dylan Thomas and George Orwell were regulars at this bohemian haunt, especially when both worked at the nearby BBC headquarters. It has recently been refurbished in the original Victorian style.
