The feudal castle of Caria (a hamlet of the municipality of Drapia) built at the beginning of the century by the Toraldo family, to which it still belongs today, on the remains of the summer residence of the trope philosopher Pasquale Galluppi. Although entirely built in concrete, the building is nevertheless a splendid example of neo-Gothic architecture, as shown by the pointed arches, the quadrangular towers with Ghibelline battlements, the mullioned windows and other numerous artistic decorations. The building is also surrounded by a once marvellous park, in which there is a small church in neoclassical style and a riding stable. The municipality of Drapia would like to set up a philosophical library there, but in order to carry out this project, an expropriation is necessary, which the owners strongly oppose.
