Just a 45-minute ferry ride from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, pleasantly secluded, is the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Although it is a fairly small island, it may take years to see all its dirt roads, rocky coastline, and small coves.

The charming town of Edgartown, located on the southeastern side of the island, boasts numerous old shingle (literally "pebble") style houses and historic buildings, remnants of the thriving whaling industry. Opposite, at the southwestern tip, is one of the highlights of Martha’s Vineyard: the red cliffs and Aquinnah Lighthouse, a true tourist attraction.
