The Cinque Torri (Five Towers), situated in the splendid Belluno Dolomites, between the Olympic city of Cortina d’Ampezzo and the Falzarego Pass, are a small mountain complex which is part of the Nuvolau group, inside the Ampezzo Dolomites.
The highest tower of the impressive rock formation is Torre Grande, with its 2.361 metres of altitude, while the other towers are Torre Seconda, Torre Latina, Torre Quarta and Torre Inglese. The Cinque Torri are appreciated by excursionists but also, and above all, by mountaineers, because they are accessible through different routes, with very different difficulties. At their feet there are two refuges that give the possibility to stay overnight, the Cinque Torri Refuge and the Scoiattoli Refuge.
