The Church of San Sossio in Miseno was founded and consecrated in 1661. This small church is a real treasure that rises above the road and which is accessed by a staircase on which there are ancient columns.
The church is small and delightful: it has a rectangular plan with a single nave. The facade is devoid of decorations and has only an iron cross and a clock with beautiful majolica placed between the entrance and the window.
The building is made of tuff and inside there are votive aedicules with statues of saints, including St. Anthony.
The flooring is ancient and splendid, in majolica, with decorations in the area of the naves and the central altar.
It is really worth visiting this marvel overlooking the sea, from which the sound and smell of the waves is perfectly perceptible.
