The Cathedral of Majorca

Le Seu – This masterpiece of a cathedral sits kissed by the Mediterranean Sea and the Majorcan sun. The cathedral, commissioned by James l of Aragon in 1229 sits atop the bones of a Roman citadel within sighing distance of the Mediterranean Sea. The legendary Antoni Gaudi was invited to take over the project but fell into an acrimonious parting with the contractor before more than a few of his visions could come to fruition.Many people say that it is even more stunning when viewed from the sea.
