The castle in Fussen

The castle was the summer residence of the prince-bishops of Augsburg. The trompe l’oeil painting on the façades of the courtyard date from the early 16C and are quite unique in Germany. The castle now houses a museum with a collection of Swabian art which spans the 15C and 18C.
