The Museo del Tessuto e del Costume (Textile and Costume Museum) preserves rich collections of antique fabrics and costumes coming mainly from the Correr, Guggenheim, Cini and the suppressed Palazzo Grassi Centre. Palazzo Mocenigo is also home to a rich library (about six thousand volumes) specialized in the history of fabrics, costumes and fashion; in it stands out the collection of more than 13000 figurines from ‘700 to ‘900.
The library is in the rooms on the first floor that have not kept the original furniture; the stores of fabrics and costumes are instead located in the first mezzanine (ancient and modern textile library, which can be visited by scholars upon reservation) and in the ceiling (third floor).
