Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is an incredible 37 kilometer route that winds through walls of snow that can reach 20 meters in height. It is a mountain road that, at an altitude of 2,450 meters on Mount Tateyama, runs through Toyama and Nagano prefectures, one of the snowiest areas in all of Japan. This spectacular road is also known as the "Roof of Japan".
