The Swiss National Museum —part of the Musée Suisse Group, itself affiliated with the Federal Office of Culture, is located in the city of Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, next to the Hauptbahnhof.

It’s the most important, largest, and most impressive museum in regard to the history of the country, which houses the largest and most comprehensive collection of exhibits dating from the Stone Age to the 19th century. Interesting items on display are the first wheels found in Zurich. Also on display: weapons, uniforms, battle and holiday flags, gold and silver works, ceramics, glass, and more, as well as coins, medals, paintings, stained glass, sculptures, furniture, clocks, musical instruments, work tools, and other art objects and items from everyday life.
