In the Swiss Museum of Puppetry in Fribourg, your children can immerse themselves in the fantastic world of old and contemporary puppets.
From well-known puppets from Switzerland to lesser-known puppets from India, Myanmar, Sicily and France, the Swiss Museum of Puppetry in Fribourg has something for everyone. In addition to the small, well-structured permanent exhibition, the museum presents four temporary exhibitions each year. The collection of more than 4000 objects includes Chinese shadows, puppets, hand puppets and other figures for various techniques from all over the world for a unique collection in Switzerland. The museum houses a fantastic paper theatre, scenery and masks – in particular from Chinese and Indian shadow theatres of ancient and contemporary times. The exhibits awaken the imagination of young and old history buffs alike.
