Suzhou Science and Cultural Arts Center is located in Cultural water Gallery scenic beside Jinji Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park. It covers a total area of 138 thousand square meters, of which the construction area is about 150 square meters. Built near to the water, some building of it extends into the lake. The building of the center is designed by the world-renowned architect Paul Andreu. The core design philosophy is "a pearl, a wall and a garden". The three traditional elements reflect the conception of architectural aesthetics of Suzhou Science and Cultural Arts Center. It is regarded as the landmark of the development of the city’s culture and arts. It is the platform of international culture exchange and the important base of the city’s culture innovation industry.
