Wrestling also existed in ancient Rome, or rather, a discipline of wrestling that combined aspects of boxing and wrestling. It was called pancrazio. A snapshot of that wrestling, where any fighting technique was allowed except bites and scratches, has re-emerged in these days in the waters of Baia, after its discovery last year, thanks to the work of a team of restorers.
