Established in 1833 as a climatic and thermal center, a destination for the sojourns of Italian and European nobility who came to Castellammare to "pass the waters," the spa has also been enriched with other services that have significantly expanded its catchment area. Fully embracing the concept of "global health," the facility, in addition to the Center for Rhinogenic Deafness, has also equipped itself with a Pneumology Center and a Physiotherapy Center capable, under the guidance of a ‘health team, of providing the most appropriate medical answers to many respiratory, bronchial and rehabilitative pathologies.
Today the Stabia Spa is in a delicate phase of transition: from a structure strongly connoted with a medical character, it is gradually transforming itself into a spa and tourist center, that is, returning to offer itself as a destination for travelers who want to combine a wellness program with visits to the main tourist resorts of Campania.
In this perspective, evening events, afternoon entertainment and excursions to nearby tourist centers are the added value to the richness of the 28 mineral water sources and related therapies. Today, therefore, the Stabia spa is among the protagonists of the very transformation of the city, which is rediscovering its strong tourist vocation from an industrial center in crisis.
Terme di Stabia has crossed the border of the year 2000 bringing with it a wealth of knowledge that has led it, over the years, to become a constant point of reference for central southern thermalism.
